Sorry, I've been super busy (and super tired) lately and haven't gotten much done. But here's a small update.
In March, I was honored to be a bridesmaid in my friends' (Dustin and Deyanna) wedding. It was the coolest EVER.
The bride loves Halloween so all of us girls got to dress in a Halloween costume (I am the pregnant witch). The groom is a huge fan of Star Wars, so all the groomsmen wore storm trooper helmets, the father of the bride wore a Darth Vader helmet and the groom wore a Boba Fett helmet.
And...
there were zombies! Yes, my husband and his friend Rebecca were their wedding zombies ;)
I love you guys, Dustin and Deyanna!
My son, Sam, was born on his due date, April 22nd. Earth Day!
Being a mother is the craziest thing I've ever experienced and I am absolutely in love with my little man.
Mommy loves you so much, pumpkin!

My Zombies Have Been Published!!
Yay!! Check out what I got!
Did you get a Stuffed Magazine yet? If so, did you see what's inside?
Hooray! My zombies have been published!
I feel so honored! And the best part is, Summerset Studios (the publisher) has encouraged me to submit more of my work. I just might have to do that ;)
I have a show coming up in February for Mardi Gras. It will be at Dazzle Lounge and Restaurant and I will have my voodoo dolls there.
Aren't they cute? I might just have to keep the guy on the right as a pin cushion ;)
I am currently working on a bunch of different projects right now, but don't really have anything I can share at the moment. Most of them are presents so I can't give the surprise away.
One I can talk about is a custom order. It's a hamburger pillow. It should be pretty awesome once it's finished.
I am also working on blankets and clothes for my unborn son when I get a chance. I only have one blanket started, so I am pretty behind. Hopefully he'll forgive me ;)
Speaking of getting ready for the baby, my husband and I are working on getting the nursery ready and want to take all the carpet out of our house and put in hardwood flooring (or fake hardwood) because our cat Jack has peeing problems and likes to pee on the carpet. My husband Jess decided to rip up the carpet in the nursery, and low and behold, we have hardwood floor underneath! It's not in great shape, but at least we can try to refinish it.
Sweet :)
Anyway, making people is exhausting and I think I need a nap. Hopefully I'll have more to share soon!

Fa la la la braaaaaaaains!
As the Christmas season comes upon us yet again, I am overwhelmed with things I planned on getting done but ran out of time and didn't. Nothing new there.
But I did manage to get a tree skirt made!
I posted the pattern on Etsy but had a lot of requests for me to sell the actual tree skirt. Maybe next year.
Unfortunately, the tree skirt will cost a pretty penny because I used chunky wool and a lot of it.
I also made a zombie Santa:
He sold pretty fast. If I get a chance before Christmas, I'll have to make another one.
In need of a stocking stuffer? How about a zombie head key chain?
I plan on making a bunch of these guys since they don't take me long. And I have a bunch of key chain parts to use up. So if anyone is interested, check out my Etsy store.
I am excited that I now know a secret and can make a bunch of stuff I couldn't before. Let me explain.
My husband and I went to the doctor today and found out that we are having a baby boy. So now I can knit and crochet a bunch of baby boy stuff. I was kind of hoping for a girl because there are too many boys on my husband's side of the family (he has two brothers and two nephews), but that's okay because we like boys too :) I just have to resist the urge to put him in pink ruffled baby bloomers...
If anyone wants to know, no we don't have any names yet because boy names are really hard to think of for us, but once we decide we will probably keep that a secret. It just keeps us from second guessing ourselves in case others don't like the name.
I am due April 22nd and we haven't gotten anything done. Doh! Oh well. At least we can pick out baby stuff now.
So, that's my update for now. Keep checking the store for new zombie head key chains!
Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
